Expect to see Kia up their game again in 2012 with significant revisions to their UVO eService limited primarily to voice-activated calling and music selection. While the second-generation Kia UVO eService will still provide the safety and convenience of hands-free capabilities, it will gain approximately 17 additional functionalities designed to both enhance driver and passenger safety and make overall ownership experience much more convenient.
For new Kia UVO eService users, the reinvented system even goes so far as to include a voice-operated users' guide (coined eService Guide) that explains key functionalities in an effective, interactive manner. For drivers seeking additional help with directions, Kia UVO eService also has Send2 Car, which essentially uses a drivers' smartphones to send destinations from Google Maps to vehicles' navigation systems and stores them in the Car Care Web component of UVO e Service. Among the many other things Car Care Web allows UVO eService users to do are check diagnostics, view maintenance schedules, assess driving behavior, set alerts to schedule service, and schedule service with your local dealer (i.e., Central Kia of Lewisville, located at 2920 N. I35E, Carrollton, TX).
Central Kia of Lewisville imagines you probably don't want us to go into great detail about each and every capability of Kia's second-gen UVO eService. We understand. At a minimum, however, we wish to tell you about what we believe to be the system's most compelling features. These include: Vehicle Diagnostics (automatically identifies problems with a car, and provides the list, as well, as the vehicle's location to the 24/7 Kia Call Center....upon request schedules an apt. with the nearest Kia service center), Crash Notification assist (automatically alerts emergency services upon vehicle airbag activation), My Car Zone (offers constant and remote insight into vehicle location as well as the ability to set speed limits - perfect for parents of teens), and Park Assist (helps drivers relocate their car in large, crowded parking areas).
Interested in learning even more about Kia's next-gen UVO eService? Stay tuned. Central Kia of Lewisville expects even more details surrounding the late-breaking technology closer to its official launch date, later this year. And remember, you can always explore our complete new 2012 Kia or used car inventories at Central Kia of Lewisville.
